'Ferry Journeys' will be the third book by Mark. About six months ago Mark was in his local library when he came across two books [both from the 1970's.] One was of shots of around the coast of Cornwall and the other was a photography manual. In this manual was a section on things that might go wrong - including light leaks. Mark then started rifling through old photo albums of his parents and his friends' parents to get inspiration.
His work has always been about the everyday, the banal, things that most people take with their snappy cameras and then bore family members with. By now combining this subject matter with the type of mistakes that amateurs [and even some professionals] might make he hopes to recreate a series of shots that were of a specific time.
